If you're looking for fancy shapes and colors in soap and salve, this isn't your place. But if you're looking for hardworking, pure , simple soaps, then you've come to the right spot. These soaps and salves were originally made for my family so first and foremost they have to be meant to clean and nourish the skin. I used to guy soaps etc, but the ingredients weren't pure enough to put on my kid's skin. The "organic" ones were very expensive and honestly the ingredient list was still to long for my taste. Soap doesn't have to be filled with all kinds of things in order to work. In the end, I learned how to make it and started at home , first for my family , then as other people wanted it, I began to make extra to sell.
I had three requirements: It had to be pure, simple and inexpensive. Most of the ingredients come from our family-run biodynamic farm.
1. Our farm grown olive oil made from harvesting black olives. Our soap is made only from olive oil, but for the salves I sometimes also add jojoba, shea , cacao butter or almond oils as well as pure beeswax from our hives and/or pine resin that we collected ourselves from local pine trees. Each of these adds a natural nourishing ,soothing quality to our salves and lotions.
2. Our farm grown herbs from our medicinal herb garden. We've got so many cool herbs that I love to work with! Comfrey, lavender, patchouli, celandine, aloe vera, St. John's wort, catmint, ashwaganda, tumeric, ginger, eucalyptus, red clover, plantain, dandilion, mallow, calendula, yellow dock, chickweed and more.....Each herb has its own healing properties, and brings energy and vitality to your skin.
3. Organic essential oils for a clean soothing and invigorating fragrance. These work with your brain to heal and open chakras. I do not use chemical fragrances or otherwise because of their ability to deplete and confuse our endocrine system. This disrupts hormonal balance, overloads the lymphatic system and can lead to disease of all kinds.
Our soaps and salves are made with love from our farm where we grow the herbs and olives needed to make only the best simple, pure ingredients.
